The annual fund raisers by Family Hospice and Palliative Care are conducted to establish an endowment fund to extend our services to community members who are under-insured or have no insurance benefits, and to pay for advanced symptom management that is non-reimbursable by a third party payer. With the recent cuts to our Medicare reimbursement, this endowment fund is even more important in meeting the needs of our patients and their families.
"Family Hospice goes Hollywood"
We rolled out the Red Carpet on November 14, 2009 at the Grey Goose Country Club as supporters were treated to a star-studded evening! Taped testimonials were viewed by all in attendance as several recipients of Family Hospice services shared what our compassionate team of caregivers has meant for them and their families. Other festivities of the evening included fine dining catered by Ceruti's, silent and live auctions, and announcing the winners of a trip to Hollywood! Through the generosity of our supporters, Family Hospice & Palliative Care netted $30,600 which will go towards an endowment fund.
